Ballet Dancer
More like a farmer’s wife
than a ballet dancer.
I know a farmer’s wife,
delicate as a fawn,
voice soft as moss,
face a sun-tipped flower.
I know a ballet dancer
who could squeeze the life
from the strongest man
using only her thighs.
